It was all a dream..

It was a clear black night, a clear white moon, Ryan E. was on the

Standing in a steady TSA PreCheck line at LAX, I notice a woman being escorted to the front of the line from the non-PreCheck section. After getting a glimpse of her, this made total sense. But what I couldn’t understand was how she had held my focus. In a facility where everyone is taking off, I’m grounded in her presence. Pierced into the Earth as I remember. This isn’t wasn’t a typical beautiful woman encounter, though. There was something magnetic going on. But drawn is all I could be because in my 40 years, I’d still never cold-approached a woman.

A little later, still a mile from any gate, I enter a kiosk to grab a water. There she was. Look at God. Now, I have to say something. Less in the way of getting her number or spitting any of my 3 ounces of game. I felt like I had to deliver a message. So, with measured breaths, I approach her. I told her how stunning she was, and once I realize I wouldn’t vaporize from this exchange, I also compliment her style. Not knowing what else to say, I walk away. An hour later, I’m boarding my flight. The guy ahead of me takes his seat, and who’s now standing in front of me? My new friend. We introduce ourselves and chat until we reach our respective seats. A couple of hours into the flight, by the bathrooms, we meet AGAIN. This time, we go into a deep convo for the remaining two and a half hours until we land. The whole crew was in on it. One even said, The entire flight crew was paying attention to our connection. One asked if we were getting married yet. After we land, we walk together to baggage claim, exchange numbers, and set up a lunch a couple of days later for what would become a 14-hour first date. We never stopped communicating for weeks, then months, and now look at us—a connecting flight we’ll be talking about for life.

P.S.

Tatiana’s details are way better.

We can’t wait to share the fine print with you someday.
